CHARGERS WIN NOSSA
This picture is of the AA NOSSA Gold Medal Team - Confederation Chargers.
Just a little less than a week ago, the Chargers pulled off an upset to take
the SDSSAA City Championship in 5 games over the Marymount Regals. In a
very similar fashion, the Chargers took the NOSSA AA Senior Championship by
defeating Widdifield Wildcats from North Bay in a match that was an amazing
display of highly skilled play. The Confederataion Chargers took the first
set only to lose the next two. The Chargers regrouped to win the fourth
set, forcing a fifth and deciding set. Chargers took control of the match
by gaining a strong lead early in the game. Widdifield attempted to rally
back, however, the Chargers' offense was too powerful for the Wildcats.
Confederation won the match in the fifth set by a score of 15 to 9.
Confederation will be representing NOSSA in the AA OFSAA Volleyball
tournament that will be held in Sudbury on March 4th and 5th.

REGALS WIN FOURTH STRAIGHT NOSSA TITLE
The Regals travelled to Manitoulin SS and played against Manitoulin SS, Franco-Cité from Sturgeon Falls and Blind River. The Regals would win Gold defeating Franco-Cité in straight sets.
The Regals now travel to Whitby to play in the "A" OFSAA Championships where they won Silver last year.
For 4 members of this team it is there fourth straight NOSSA win and second straight trip to OFSAA.Quite a feat for the high school athlete. The four include Allison Adams, Katrina Hickey, Shawna Metcalf and Ashley Chicquen..
