The SDSSA/NOSSA gymnastics meet was held at the Gym Zone in Sudbury on Monday April 19th. Eleven high schools with over 100 gymnasts participated in the event. The convenors for this meet were Gisèle Pilon and Danielle Gauthier, teachers at College Notre Dame.
Here are the divisional aggregate winners of the competition:
Level one: College Notre Dame
Level two: College Notre Dame
Level three: College Notre Dame
Level four: Lockerby Composite
Level five: College Notre Dame
Overall Individual Winners were as follows:
Level one: Krista Gerard (Sudbury Sec.)
Level two: Kayla Ratthe (Sudbury Sec.)
Level three: Jennifer Rainville (St. Charles)
Level four: Renee Bertrand (Champlain)
Level five: Amanda Vachon (Champlain)
Team Overall Champions:
first place: College Notre Dame (9th straight title, 14th in the past 15 years)
second place: ESC Champlain
third place: Sudbury Secondary
Selected participants will now advance to the OFSAA Championships, to be hosted May 4-5 at Brock University in St Catharines. Last year at OFSAA, College Notre Dame won a silver medal in the sport aerobics competition.
